Winter Wonder

Several inches of snow fell here in central Virginia last weekend.

We took a walk around the farm enjoying the quiet beauty.

View of the garden from the woods.

Our little creek which runs behind the yurt.

Our abode.

Gavin was working on the front porch decking.

He finished up the front porch this weekend, and here is cutting the last piece of plywood which seals the insulated cavity under the yurt.

The front porch is identical to the back porch, except a little closer to the ground.  It will have the same galvanized metal walls, but we ran out of material and have yet to order more.  We would like to keep it open for light and views, but protecting the porch from rain is more important since we have plenty to store there.

The yurt with north and south porches… almost complete!

I was so glad to see the January photos. You are making great progress. I wish I could see it more regularly, but life doesn’t allow for more regular visits! It is always so good to hear from you. Mom
